Literally Live Pictures
We have always seen acrylic paint on canvas, but now we have the work of artist Alexa Meade, who has creatively used the human body as her canvas. The results are really impressive.
These pictures of people are covered with acrylic paint. Artists did very good job, so people look like they are part of the painting.
Acrylic painting is one of the newest painting mediums, if you’ve ever painted the walls of your home with latex or emulsion paint, you’ll have used a very close cousin of the these paints. In fact I use white matt emulsion, tinted with yellow or brown, to put a base coat on the canvasses I prepare for some of my acrylic painting work.
The acrylic painting technique offers both the new and experienced artist a very versatile method of painting.

Saw the seated guy with the head and shoulders painted (in front of the red square, with the live projection in the frame next to him) as an installation piece at G40 in Crystal City two weekends ago. Harder to see well in a crowded room than it is here on the website, but impressive in both instances. Nicely done; very clever.

Brilliantly thought provoking and yet mysterious. Finally, living art.

this is interesting because the things that are commonly weak points or area of struggle for an artist are the areas of these photographs that give it away (that is, once you are exposed to the fact that they are such)
